Meet the Therapist

Meet Rachel

Hi I’m Rachel :) I’m originally from St. Louis and moved to Kansas for college. I’m absolutely obsessed with my dachshund, Ollie—he’s a bit of a menace, but I love him dearly. I love to cook, drink coffee, read, move my body, and be silly with the people I love. I’m a big foodie and always love a good sweet treat.

I love a true crime documentary, and some of my favorite shows are Schitt’s Creek, New Girl, Gilmore Girls, and How I Met Your Mother. I enjoy being outdoors—nature has always grounded me and helped me reconnect with myself. Sarcasm is basically my second language, and I love bringing humor into therapy when it fits. Laughter can be healing, too!!

On a more personal note, I’ve found so much meaning and growth through my own journey in therapy, and I’m open with clients about that. I’m a human first—and yes, I still go to therapy myself. I never want to come across as someone who has it all figured out because that’s simply not the case. I believe therapy works best when it’s real, honest, and grounded in human connection. I’m imperfect, just like everyone else—and I think that’s where some of the most powerful healing can begin.

My Therapy Approach

Therapy with me is an invitation to slow down, take a breath, and reconnect with yourself. It’s a collaborative, compassionate space where you can show up exactly as you are. I work from an integrative approach that brings together three powerful frameworks: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Person-Centered Therapy.

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens in a safe, trusting relationship. I’ll meet you with genuine curiosity, empathy, and respect, and together we’ll explore what matters most to you.

From ACT, I bring mindfulness-based tools that help you notice unhelpful patterns, build emotional flexibility, and reconnect with your values—even in the middle of discomfort. With IFS, we’ll gently explore the different “parts” of you—those inner voices or reactions that may be protective, overwhelmed, or stuck—so they can feel understood and begin to heal. And from a person-centered lens, I hold space for your experience with unconditional positive regard, always honoring your pace, your voice, and your autonomy.

Whether you’re navigating obsessive thinking, grief, trauma, life transitions, or just feeling disconnected from yourself, we’ll work together to move toward more clarity, balance, and wholeness.
